Route Overview

Named after Sir Edward Watkin, this is arguably the most beautiful and physically demanding path up Snowdon, starting almost at sea level. The trail climbs through sessile oak woodlands, passes the stunning Gladstone Rock (where PM Gladstone gave an address), and follows a spectacular series of waterfall plunge pools. The final section climbs steeply over loose scree and slate before reaching the summit.
